🎧 About Music Nerds Unite

Welcome to Music Nerds Unite — the podcast where deep musical knowledge meets friendly competition, and where every episode is a celebration of the art we live and breathe: music.

Hosted by Scott Floman, author of several Amazon ebooks including The Story Of Rock and Soul Music: Album Reviews and Lists, along with his twin brother Keith Floman and longtime friend Larry Waldman, Music Nerds Unite is the ultimate hangout for passionate fans of rock, soul, and everything in between.

🎙️ What We Do

We don't just talk about music — we debate it, rank it, and nerd out over it in the most entertaining way possible: through tournament-style episodes that pit artists, albums, and songs against each other in epic head-to-head matchups. In more recent episodes, starting with Episode 67, we've been drafting the greatest songs year-by-year, creating the ultimate playlists and fueling some seriously nerdy debates.

OUR TEAM

SCOTT FLOMAN

Scott has been indulging in his twin passions of music and writing for over 20 years, both professionally and as a hobby. To date he has published five music related books available on Amazon: The Story Of Rock and Soul Music: Album Reviews and Lists, Greatest Songs Of The 1960s, Greatest Songs Of The 1970s, Greatest Songs Of The 1980s, and Greatest Underrated Guitar Solos. Since everybody has a podcast these days, he figured he'd try it too! So, hopefully you'll enjoy hearing him and his podcast partners "nerd out" as they rate and talk about tunes and albums while arguing over the type of musical minutiae that only the truly dedicated music fan will care about. If you're one of those people, you're one of us and we welcome you!

KEITH FLOMAN

I'm Keith Floman. Scott and I are twins and obviously grew up with a deep appreciation for music. I live in Long Island, New York, with my wife, 3 children, and our 3 rescue dogs. I believe music, like most art, is best when it makes you think, feel, experience. We are here to discuss the giants of music, the songs and artists who have been parts of your life. But also to uncover the gems you may have missed. We dig deep to find the hidden treasures that creep into your soul and change you forever. Are you down? Whether you want to go to the light…..or the dark…..As we like to say at MNU…LFG!

LARRY WALDMAN

I'm Lawrence Waldman—a lifelong music enthusiast based just outside New York City, where I live with my wife, our dog, and enjoy visits from our two college-age kids. Music Nerds Unite is a podcast and blog I co-host with two longtime friends, where we celebrate the music that moves us—from rock, alternative/indie, and jazz to hip hop (and maybe everything except country). Whether it's dissecting albums, trading recommendations, or uncovering deep cuts, we're here for the love of the music and the joy of sharing it.
